1 Month

Four weeks have gone by in a flash.  It's amazing how much Little A has changed.  She is so much more alert these days then she was the first couple of weeks and she is starting to smile and loves to hear my voice.   She's doing a great job sleeping at night (last night we had a six hour stretch), but napping during the day is another story.  She is so interested in everything around her that she fights going to sleep.  She doesn't seem to mind sleeping on my chest in the Moby wrap though.

In the last two weeks we've been very busy.  We've visited friends at EMH, Uncle Brett came to visit and changed his first diaper, Pops and DeeDee visited and allowed Jason and me a couple of outings out of the house TOGETHER and Avery and I started a music class.  It's basically a mother/child music bonding class.  We sing lullabies and chat with the other moms.   Several of my friends are in the class too with their newborns so it is fun to meet all the babies.

Avery also had her first real bath.   Up until two weeks ago she was just getting sponge baths because her umbilical cord had not fallen off yet.  (which we've saved per Jason's request).   She seems to really like the bath which is good for mom and dad.

So far Avery likes: being held (by anyone), baths, mom's singing, time in the rocking chair, the Moby wrap and dancing with Dad.  And food...Avery LOVES to eat.

Her dislikes:  sleeping, gas and the swing (but it's growing on her).

Here are a few pictures of the last couple of weeks:

Bed time.  (she's almost too big for her bassinet).
