7 Months

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  (you're supposed to sing that sentence for effect.)  And it's been even more enjoyable with Little A.  She makes every task so much more exciting.  Even going to the grocery store is so much more enjoyable, just to watch her discover something new.

We've had a blast since the last post.  We had Thanksgiving, Avery's first firework show/Christmas tree lighting, Lights in the Heights, Avery's first round of Christmas, and lots and lots of family time.

For Thanksgiving we went to Aunt Gina's in Norman.  Avery got to meet several of her cousins, including her new cousin Elly.  She got LOTS of attention from Aunt Gina and Cousin Jake.  It was wonderful seeing everyone, eating too much and teaching Brad how to play chess.

The first weekend in December we went to City Hall to watch the lighting of the Christmas tree.  They had a huge firework display.  At first I thought Little A might be scared because of all the noise, but it turns out she LOVED it.  She watched it non-stop of 10 minutes with the biggest smile on her face.

The following weekend was our 4th annual Lights in the Heights party and this year was even more fun since all of the family came in.  Papa Stretch, Nana, Uncle Brad and Aunt Heather and D'Ann and Pops.  The only two missing where Uncle Brett & Caleb.  The party was slightly different than years past; pretty much everyone had a kid this year so it was a little more relaxed.  The lights were festive as always, but a little less music than previous years.  Avery loved all the action.

The next morning we did Christmas/gift exchange early with my side of the family so they could take part in Avery's first Christmas.  Avery got a few new toys, a talking bear (with Nana's voice) and a couple of cute outfits.

I mentioned Avery was close to crawling in my previous post and that is still the case.  She is getting stronger and more confident on her tummy but not too mobile yet.  I'm hoping we can hold off for another few weeks then just baby proof the apartment we're moving into at the end of the month (while we're doing the remodel).   She does however have two fabulous front teeth.  They're just starting to come in and she of course looks adorable with them.

Coming up we have Christmas with the Pops and D'Ann and the rest of the Williams clan.  Avery will be crawling soon enough and we're about to move her up to two solid feedings a day.
